Days 2 and 3 with Poochie and GG

We are really enjoying our visit with my grandma, Poochie. Yesterday we visited all day, stayed home, relaxed and cooked....Poochie had GREAT Callie time!!! Today, we decided to grab a bite to eat for lunch and do a little shopping! Poochie, we love you!!!! We're soooooooo happy you're here with us in TX!

A visit from someone VERY special!!!

Yes, this VERY special person is someone we call Poochie and GG. She is my grandmother and Callie's great grandmother. Poochie came in from Houma, LA on Monday afternoon and will be staying with us here in TX until mid next week. Poochie visited us yesterday afternoon, and we had dinner last night at our house; Callie was excited to spend some time with her GG...here are a few pics from last night...there will be many more to come...just stay tuned!!!

Jeff had to work and entertain clients on Friday night, so Callie girl and I went to Carrabba's with Mimi and Papa to eat. After a yummy dinner, we headed home and played in her playroom. Callie was an angel this weekend...she slept at Mimi and Papa's on Saturday night, so Jeff and I could go out with some friends downtown. Callie never fussed once and slept the entire night at her grandparents house...when I picked her up this morning, she laughed, but had a cute grin, like..I could stay here...go back home mommy....I love being with my mimi and papa...anyhow, we had a great weekend, and Callie had a blast at Mimi and Papa's!!

Single Mom

First of all, I praise single moms or dads, and people with more than 1 child!!!!
Jeff has been really busy with work; they have a project that has to be complete by next Thursday, so he has been working late every night, this weekend, etc. It's been me, Callie girl, and Tootsie Bella for the last week, and I'm EXHAUSTED!!!! Today, Callie girl and I went shopping, run a few errands, and jog around the neighborhood....here are a few pics from today!

From City Living to Country

You know you live in the country when you have a bunny in your backyard one day and 2 deer the next!!!!! Callie was ALL smiles!!! :-)

Anyhow, I took Callie girl on a stroll in our neighborhood yesterday (there is a lake and park down the street), and she had fun! Here are a few pics...

Another accomplishment!!!

I've been teaching Callie sign language, and she signed for milk this morning!!! I was sooooooooooo excited! I was feeding her some oatmeal for breakfast, and just out of the blue, she made the sign for milk.

Callie, mommy is very proud of you! You've had 2 great accomplishments in the last several days...you said "da-da" and made the sign for milk. GO CALLIE GIRL!!!! We love you~!

"Oh Where Oh Where Has My Family Gone?!?!"

Yes, I'm officially a "gameroom & mommy widow!!!" Jeff has found his new "cubby hole" and has decided to take "our" daughter with him!!!! At least I still have Toostie Bella!!!

We spent our weekend moving, unpacking, setting up the house, and relaxing. We are by no means finished unpacking; it's very difficult to get things done with a 7 month old!!!! Anyhow, here are some pics I captured over the weekend.

The Best Easter Present Ever!!!!

Callie said 'da-da' for the first time last night!!!!! Jeff was in tears; he just couldn't believe it! She has been saying 'da-da' all morning....he is so proud and loves his little baby girl~~she is definitely a "daddy's girl!!" Callie, we are very proud of you and we love you with all our heart!!!

Making progress....

We've slowly been moving a few things in our home this week, and the movers come today~~yay!! We are very excited and Callie just loves her new home (& Tootsie too)!!! We won't have internet until Monday, so I will catch up on facebook and blogging then.

A cleaning day at our new home...

We "officially" move in on Friday, April 10th; however, we wanted to take the next few days to clean, organize the kitchen, install organizational units, etc. Today was great~~we got alot accomplished, thanks to my mom, dad, and lovely husband~~it's very difficult to do "small things" once you've had a little one..I was on baby duty and helped as much as I could...we did have some visitors...Callie's two boyfriends, Laykin and Carter came over to check out her new adobe and to play!!!

Thanks mom, dad, and Jeffrey..I appreciate everything you've done!!! I don't know what I would do without you guys! I love you!!!
