The Ritual~~Mexican Friday

Last night we took the babies to 7 Leguas~~our Friday night ritual~we had fun relaxing, talking, and just watching the cute little ones interact together!!!

Callie and I headed over to Misty and Laykin's house on Friday for a little play date. Callie was really missing her boyfriend since she hadn't seen him in a few weeks; Mr. Laykin was in Houma the past 2 weekends. The babies had alot of fun together. Laykin couldn't keep his hands off of Callie; it was precious! Here are some pics from our day~~~

Putting on a show

Today I had a few errands to run, then I headed to JCPenny's to look at some curtains and tie backs for the house...well, Ms. "HAM" decided to put on a show for the entire "curtain department!!" It was hilarious~~~after Penny's, we strolled the mall, then had lunch with Mimi and Papa at Brio's Tuscan grill on the River..great day!

I love putting Callie in little dresses with cute little lace socks! However, she just doesn't seem to care for "cute little" socks....half the time, she pulls them off and we lose lots of socks!!! As you can see, she is reaching for the lace and yes, she pulled them off. Oh well...mommy will eventually learn...barefoot is BEST!!!!

Baby Weight

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...what can I say??? It's been 6 1/2 months, and I'm still struggling with losing my weight~~I guess I'm venting in this blog post because poor Jeff is tired of hearing me talk about it, and so is my poor mom and cousin, Angela!! I was the "LUCKY" (yes, haha) pregnant one to pack on 50+ lbs...I would drink a glass of water and gain weight!!! My stomache stretched to it's max...I looked like I was 9 1/2 months pregnant when I was only 5 months...so, I have some lovely stretch marks to prove that. I'm trying to remain positive and focused and pray that it starts to fall off really soon...this is really depressing me...nothing in my closet fits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGHHHHH!!! :-(

Making progress...

I've been working with Callie and trying to get her to sit up; she sits up in her high-chair, bebe pod, sit and step activity center, bumbo turn tray chair, and in between the boppy pillow on the floor. When I sit her up "unsupported," she just falls over which completely scares her. Anyhow, she did really well today~~~~I took the boppy pillow away from her and she sat up "unsupported" all by herself for about 2 minutes...we're getting there~~~

Friday Night Ritual

I had to post these 2 pics first~~we went from the pregger's club to the mommy's club~~all 4 of us were pregnant together and went to the same OBGYN up here in The Woodlands.

Me (36 weeks), Misty (32 weeks), Heidi (17 weeks), and Tonya (10 weeks)

Every Friday night, the HOUMA CREW (yes, all 8 of us are from Houma, LA and now live here in The Woodlands about 5-10 min apart from one another..its's great) gets together for some yummy mexican food at 7 Leguas! The restaurant knows us by heart and sets up a table for all 8 adults and 4 babies!! The girls look forward to chatting and sipping some yummy frozen ritas, and the guys talk sports and work!!! Callie is the only girl....Heidi & Chris have a little boy named Carter Mason, Misty & Jason have a little boy named Laykin Cruse (Callie and Laykin are 5 days apart), and Ted & Tonya have a little boy named Evan....Callie has 3 boyfriends and she LOVES it; however, they don't care too much for her! Anyhow, here are a few pics from our dinner last night..we had a great time!!! Misty and Jason...I'm so upset you guys have missed the past 2 Friday nights...Callie is really missing her #1 boyfriend, but I understand you had to make 2 trips to Houma..hope to see you next Friday night!
